Our body is our emotional anatomy and carries the stories of every action, reaction and feeling we have experienced. It carries our emotional history. Emotional release bodywork helps us release the stories that do not serve us anymore so we can experience life differently-lighter, happier, more focused, less stressed and with more clarity.

I completed my training as a Reiki Master in 2011, this followed on from Reiki 1 and 2. I had always been fascinated by the benefits that alternative therapies can bring and I wanted to expand my knowledge. I decided to train as a Reflexologist. I qualified as a Reflexologist in 2012 and have been a member of The Association of Reflexologists since qualifying. I have continued to develop my skills as a Reflexologist and have undertaken further training in Crystal Reflexology, Hot Stone Reflexology, Reflexology for the Menopause and Reflexology for Pregnancy and Preconception. Even now, I am still amazed at the benefits a reflexology treatment can give. Recently, I qualified as a Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) at The SMAE institute in Maidenhead which will enable me to offer the following services: Cutting toe nails, trimming corns and verrucas, give advice on fungal nails and athletes foot. I am also a qualified Dental Hygienist and I spend 3 days a week working in dental practice. I am really looking forward to joining the team. When I’m not working I do pilates and love a long walk with my dog.

Meet Verity

Verity graduated from the AngloEuropean College of Chiropractic (AECC) in 2002, having wanted to become a chiropractor since age 16.

Verity studied Sacro-Occipital Technique, also known as SOT as a post graduate course and gained her advanced qualification in 2005. After this, she spent a number of years instructing before deciding that standing at the head of a classroom was not for her!

SOT is a versatile technique, using a combination of gentle manipulations, including cranial work and traditional spinal adjustments.

Verity holds a long standing interest in treating antenatal & postnatal Mums and children. This interest has been furthered after the birth of her daughter in 2016 when she experienced first hand, the benefit for chiropractic care during pregnancy.

Verity had a diastasis rectic after the delivery and worked alongside a post natal trainer near her previous practice in Hampshire. This is where she learnt the Hypopressive Technique. This technique enabled her to take part in a sprint triathlon for charity only 12 months after giving birth. She found it so helpful that she now wants to teach this technique to other’s so gained her Level 1 trainer qualification in November 2020.

Jenny is a fully qualified and insured traditional acupuncturist. She studied at The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading where she gained a BSc and a LicAc (License to practice acupuncture). Jenny is also a member of The British Acupuncture Council, the largest governing body for acupuncturists in the UK.

Her interest in acupuncture began after having treatment myself and experiencing the profound affect it had on her wellbeing. She wanted to learn more and to share this powerful medicine with others.

Jenny has run busy practices in Oxford and Suffolk, where she treated a wide range of patients from different backgrounds and with diverse health issues. She has now settled in Hastings and looks forward to building her practice here.

She has always been especially interested in the connection between our emotional health and our physical health – and this is something that Chinese medicine recognises as a major cause of disease. The relationship between practitioner and patient is hugely important to her, and she takes time to listen with compassion.

By practicing a combination of Five Element acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Jenny is able to work with a wide variety of patients and conditions. She is especially interested in, and has treated successfully, patients with chronic ill health and complex conditions, such as autoimmune disease, insomnia, depression, anxiety, IBS, migraines and gynaecological issue. Symptoms are warning signs not to be ignored, and if we suppress them then over time deeper issues can develop, Chinese medicine works to find the root cause of illness which brings about much deeper healing and long lasting health.

Jenny has young children and has felt the benefits of acupuncture before, during and after her pregnancies. She is enthusiastic about helping women on this journey too, from wanting to have a child, through to adjusting and then thriving once they are born.

Please do get in touch with Jenny if you have any questions or would like to know more about how acupuncture can help you.
